Ellen DeGeneres, Sean Hayes and Chelsea Handler Among Co-Hosts of Pete Buttigieg's L.A. Fundraisers

Pete Buttigieg is returning to Los Angeles on July 25 for a series of fundraisers, including an event at the home of NBCUniversal International Chairman Kevin MacLellan and his husband, author Brian Curran, with a list of co-hosts who include Sean Hayes, Chelsea Handler, Jason Bateman, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi.

Buttigieg canceled his last planned trip last month to Los Angeles to deal with the fallout from an officer involved shooting of an African American man in South Bend. But postponing the planned six Hollywood events didn't make much of a difference in his fundraising bottom line: He still led all Democratic candidates in fundraising in the second quarter, with a $24 million haul.

Buttigieg's campaign rescheduled a number of the gatherings, and now has four events on the docket. He'll start out his L.A. swing with a "breakfast and conversation" event hosted by Navid Mahmoodzadegan, co-president and a founding partner of investment bank Moelis & Company, according to an invite. The co-hosts include Rob Friedman and Jeremy Zimmer. Tickets start at $1,000 per person.

He'll then attend a lunch at a West Hollywood event hosted by Nicole Avant Jill Goldman, Vicki Kennedy and Jeff Klein. Tickets start at $500 per person.

In the late afternoon, Buttigieg will headline an event at the Hancock Park home of Mike Rose and Ruben Rodriguez, with a list of co-hosts including Chris Colfer, George Heller and Greg Propper. Tickets start at $500 per person.

The event in the evening, at the home of MacLellan and Curran, also includes co-hosts John D'Amico, the mayor of West Hollywood, along with Scott Icenogle, Amanda Anka, Timothy Corrigan, Robert Pilon Jr., Tom Swan and Keith Rand. Tickets start at $250 each, but have already sold out at that level.

Joseph Biden and Kamala Harris, two of the front runners in recent polls, also will be courting donors for campaign cash. Biden will hold a series of events on July 18 and 19, including a fundraiser at the home of Sony Pictures' Tom Rothman and his wife, actress Jessica Harper. Co hosts include Heather Thomas and Skip Brittenham, Peter and Megan Chernin, Tony Emmerich, John and Jordan Davis, Mark Gordon and Sally Whitehall, Jeffrey and Marilyn Katzenberg, Bryan Lourd, Amy Pascal and Bernard Weinraub, James Costas and Michael Smith and Chris Meledandri. Tickets are $2,800 per person.

Harris, coming off of her standout debate performance, will hold four events on July 20 and 21, including a Beverly Hills reception hosted by John Emerson, former U.S. Ambassador to Germany, and his wife Kimberly Marteau Emerson. Co-hosts include Lynda Carter and Robert Altman, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein and Jon Vein, Trisha Cardoso, Ken and Lissa Solomon and Jordan Kerner. Tickets start at $1,000 per person.

I'm told that more events are in the works for other candidates --- many of them struggling to get traction.
